LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design. To attain a LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a commendable achievement. As part of our ongoing green initiatives, our buildings have all received the LEED Silver Certification at Whitmore Lake Public Schools. This means our buildings comply with a set of environmental standards set to help buildings and their operators stay environmentally conscious and responsible.
We believe staying aware of and reducing the impact WLPS buildings have on the environment aids us in producing students focused on their education as well as their role in caring for our world.
