Our WLPS Community Recreation Department holds possibilities for all types of events. The facilities are available for rental and for use through our youth & adult leagues. Our Community Recreation Department is here for you to get active, learn new skills, make new friends, and most of all have fun!

You can also visit the WLCR office outside the community pool at Whitmore Lake High School Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm to register and pay with check, cash, and credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express).
WLCR will process full refunds for any programs cancelled by our department. All other cancellations must be made one week before the program begins or first day of practice or Kick Off event. A $5 or 7% processing fee, whichever is greater, will be deducted from refund amounts. After a program begins, we will only consider a refund with a medical note. A $40 fee will be assessed for checks returned for insufficient funds.

When Whitmore Lake Public Schools are closed because of bad weather, Community Recreation activities are cancelled. Every attempt will be made to reschedule; however, when circumstances prohibit, classes will not be rescheduled.
If inclement weather occurs after school hours or on the weekends, please check he WLCR office recording at 734-449-4461 Ext. 3057 for information.

Before joining the WLCR team, Ann spent 13 years as the Aquatic Supervisor at the Health and Fitness Center at WCC. Her role included supervising and mentoring pool staff, teaching Aqua Aerobics, teaching adult swim lessons, supporting Masters Swimming (the best beginner adult sport!) and supporting all aspects of aquatics along with personal training and being a safety lead. In and around the water for most of her life, Ann also supported Pinckney Community Ed by supervising, teaching and coaching for over 25 years. Ann holds many certifications including Certified Pool Operator, US Masters Swim Coach, Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor Trainer, Parkinson’s Disease Instructor and ACSM Personal Trainer. Ann’s ‘people first’ mindset has allowed her to excel in building and maintaining strong relationships, inspiring her employees, and establishing lasting organizational systems. A mother to six kids who live all over the world, Ann loves to travel, hike, camp and open-water swim in her free time. She is excited to join the Whitmore Lake team where she is looking forward to creating a strong, close-knit community.
