New Student Enrollment

Step 1: Verify Your School District

Verify your address to see if you live in the WLPS school district by clicking the button below.

Step 2: Documents Needed

Below is a list of the required items to include with your child’s enrollment packet. These items MUST be included for your child’s enrollment packet to be accepted. Photos or PDF format are accepted.

  • Birth Certificate/Passport

  • Immunization Records

  • When applicable

    • Athletic Physical (if applicable)

    • IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)

  • Court or Custody Documents (if applicable)

  • High School Transcripts (if applicable)

  • Proofs of Residency

Proofs of Residency Requirements:

  • Before any student can be registered into Whitmore Lake Public Schools, the student’s parent, legal guardian, or relative must prove legal residence in Whitmore Lake School District. Families whose primary residence is outside of the Whitmore Lake School District are not eligible to attend Whitmore Lake Public Schools unless accepted for enrollment under Schools of Choice.

  • All applicants must submit TWO documents from Section A and ONE document from Section B, in the Parent/Guardian’s name.

SECTION A: TWO ITEMS REQUIRED

  1. Recent property tax statement or warranty deed

  2. Copy of lease (including BHA and HUD leases), current Rental receipt, or mortgage payment

  3. Utility bill – statement dated within the past 60 days, including:

    1. Gas/Oil bill

    2. Electric bill

    3. Water/Sewer bill

    4. Phone bill

    5. Cable/Internet bill

  4. Letter from approved government agency (within the past 60 days)

  5. Current vehicle registration

  6. Current payroll stub

  7. Current bank or credit card statement

SECTION B: ONE ITEM REQUIRED

  1. Parent/Guardian valid driver’s license with current address

  2. Valid Michigan photo identification

  3. Other current photo identification with address (work badge, etc.)

Enrollment FAQs

Q: What are my options if I don’t have a computer/smartphone or access to internet?

A: Families that need access to a computer to complete the new student enrollment forms should contact their building’s front office staff and an onsite computer will be made available.

A: PowerSchool Enrollment application is powered by InfoSnap. For the best levels of customer support, individuals with technical difficulties should contact InfoSnap directly at 866-752-6850. As always your child's building office staff are ready and capable of resolving most issues and can escalate issues to our district technology support.

A: No data from electronic enrollment is stored on our district storage servers. PowerSchool Registration has a highly secure infrastructure. For details please see the detailed document below.
