WLPS Montessori MagnetProgram

This multi-age tuition-free Montessori Magnet Program will be open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade for the 22/23 school year. Children in kindergarten learn in a primary class with ages 3-6. Children in grades first through third in a lower elementary class and fourth through sixth learn together in an upper elementary class. All students have the opportunity to learn in a diverse, caring, calm, Montessori-centered learning community.

The core curriculum areas of practical life, sensorial, language, math, geography, and science are represented in the classroom. Similar to our traditional public school approach focused on personalized education, Montessori teaching meets a child where they are at and allows them to create a unique path to help them grow as a whole child.
