We are excited to announce the new Healthy School Meals for All program for the 23/24 school year! This program provides FREE breakfast and lunches for all public school students ages 4-12th grade!
We are asking ALL WLPS families to still complete the FREE & Reduced Meals application as our funding for important programs serving our students are still based on that application. Find the application at: https://whitmore.familyportal.cloud/benefits/onlyapplying
In addition to the free meals, WLPS Food Service will still have a la carte items available for purchase at the Middle/High School Campus.

Lunch Service at Whitmore Lake Public Schools
Lunch is one of the most important meals during a student’s day. Keeping the mind fueled with healthy food is important. If it’s not convenient to bring lunch, or if your student just wants a break from homemade meals, we provide a great option.
Breakfast Service at Whitmore Lake Public Schools
FREE BREAKFAST! We invite our students to join us for breakfast before school starts. Every day we serve a hot entrée. Each meal includes juice or fresh fruit and milk. A healthy breakfast is a great way to start the day. Students can pick up breakfast on their way to class each morning. Breakfast times are:
Middle/High School: 7:40 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Elementary: 5th-6th grades: 7:40 a.m.-7:50 a.m. | K-4th Grade: 8:40 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
NEW This Year
Our cafeterias are now cashless. We offer an easy and convenient way to add funds to your child’s account through Meal Magic Family Portal. You may utilize a credit card or your checking/savings account. This is a safe and secure way for you to make sure your child has the funds available to purchase breakfast or lunch. Please do not send cash or checks to the school.
Studies have proven that students who eat breakfast benefit nutritionally and educationally. Students who start their day with breakfast say they feel good, are happy and more alert throughout their school day. Teachers reported improved classroom behavior, improved attentiveness.
Education Benefits with Michigan School Meals Program
Families are highly encouraged to complete the Education Benefits with Michigan School Meals Program application. Families that qualify for free and reduced meals are eligible for additional benefits including discounts for pay to participate.
