Meet Our Principal

Welcome to the Whitmore Lake Middle School.
We serve approximately 400 students.

Our mission is partnering with students, parents and the community to provide exceptional, personalized education.  We are proud of our school and work hard to provide an atmosphere where student can focus on learning.

We are Outcomes Endorsed by North Central Accreditation and have been involved in a school improvement partnership with the Washtenaw Intermediate School District for five years. Our goals include improving writing across the curriculum, informational reading and school climate. We have also developed an inquiry-based science program and a blended program to include traditional and reformed math. Teachers have participated in a comprehensive staff development program including using the tools of technology in the core content classes, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students and Real Reading in the Middle. In addition to a fine academic program, there are many extra-curricular activities offered at the middle school. Athletics, Junior National Honor Society, S.T.A.N.D. (Students Taking a New Direction), Student Council, Quiz Bowl, Yearbook, Tech Club, Newspaper and D.A.R.E. are available to interested students.
