Drama Club
High School Drama Club Fall 2008 The high school drama club will be presenting Tim Kelly’s “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”, this fall. It is the story of weird playwright Sebastian Sly, author of such bombs as 'Dial M for Morose' and 'Ten Little Ninjas', lives in a creepy mansion. His arch - enemy, the clever but snide drama critic Sylvia Frye hates thrillers and has forced his retirement. Sebastian invites her to his home where all manner of mystery play chills and thrills are trotted out to convince her she is wrong about his work. There is a twist ending that will have you gasping in surprise.

The performances will be dedicated to Whitmore Lake Alumni Drew Kmiecik. Drew was in Drama Club when he was in high school and “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” was his stage debut.

Drama Club is open to all high school students. There is a $25.00 activity fee for all students participating in Drama Club per show. The fee will help to offset administration costs and is new for the 2008-09 school year. Drama Club also includes acting and movement classes through out the school year. The club gives a $500.00 scholarship to a graduating senior each year. For more information, please contact Barbara Danner, Drama Coach at the high school, 734-449-4461.
