Pumpkin Carving Contest

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Northfield Township has completed phase I of the non-motorized path which begins at Whitmore Lake Elementary School.
Phase I path is a 600 foot section: 285 feet is concrete sidewalk and 315 feet is boardwalk.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the path was held on Friday October 21 at our school.
Many community members were present including our township supervisor (who organized the ceremony), Northfield Township Trustees, school board members, Senator Warren, and Representative Ouimet, Kiwanis, the elementary principal, teachers, parents, students, and community members.
The Peaberry Bean & Beats along with Hometown Bicycles donated cider, and pasties for the community.

Every year, second graders in Whitmore Lake Elementary School create a model of a community building/area.
This yearly project is a culmination of studies on “community”. The creations are displayed with pride in the lobby of our school.
A variety of materials are used, such as; wood, clay, cardboard, Legos, construction paper, paint, etc.
This is an enjoyable experience for both parents and students. Students remember them for years to come.
The pride in our community really shows through!
