About Us: Message from the Superintendent
Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! As your superintendent, I am
pleased to welcome you to our website. If you are a new parent, a prospective
parent, or a citizen of our community who wants to know more about our
schools, you will find that our website is a great place to learn more
about the wonderful things happening in our district. If you are a
parent of students already attending our schools, you will find our website to
be the place to go to find out more about upcoming events, academics, sporting events, and special programs.
From newsletters to forms to school district goals and policies, our website is designed to be user-friendly and informative. Job postings,
calendars, lunch menus, and the pool schedule are all just a click away. If you are interested in contacting your legislator in regards to
school issues, such as adequate funding for our schools, their names, addresses, and phone numbers are accessible through our website also.
Whitmore Lake Public Schools prides itself on being a district committed to establishing a strong relationship with the parents of our students
and with our community as a whole. We are a "School of Choice" district, providing an exceptional, personalized education for all students. Our
district is small enough for us to wrap our arms around your child and to help nurture them to grow into caring, responsible young adults. At the
same time, we are large enough to provide your child with an excellent education and a variety of other opportunities, so that he/she
is ready for the global society of the future.
Whitmore Lake Public Schools is conveniently located about ten minutes north of downtown Ann Arbor and about ten minutes south of the
US-23/I-96 interchange. Whitmore Lake, Michigan - a wonderful place to raise a family within a community that cares, attend a school district where your
child is much more than a number, and live the small town life while still being within easy reach of all the amenities of the Ann Arbor/Detroit
Metropolitan area.
