District:
Landscaping Project Set to Begin

The Middle School grounds are on track to get a face lift this fall! Through an agreement with Adams Outdoor Advertising, a small amount of money has been set aside by Adams Outdoor Advertising to improve the look of the Middle School grounds.

The landscaping money is being given to the district in exchange for granting permission to Adams Outdoor Advertising to take down some of the trees behind the Middle School along the expressway fence line in preparation for the addition of the outdoor advertising signs being installed yet this fall. This is great news for the school district! The district had been informed that the trees had two different types of disease, limiting their life span to less than ten years. With school finances tight, the district has no money set aside to remove trees, or to give the Middle School grounds a much needed face lift.

While the amount of money the district will receive is not large, it will allow for some landscaping beautification around the main entrance and in some of the parking lot islands. A few trees will be planted back along the fence line to replace those that were removed, while spacing them far enough apart to allow them to grow naturally.

The project is expected to begin this fall with a completion date of next spring.
